Elementary Mandarin Proficiency
After moving to China in 2015, and engulfing myself in Chinese life, culture, and food, I fell in love with the most widely spoken language in the world. Since then, I have completed three Mandarin language courses, memorized over 500 characters, and attained elementary proficiency. Today, my goal is to progress to Working Proficiency in the upcoming year.

Mandarin Conversation Partner
As a UWaterloo Conversation Partner, I volunteered over 60 hours in a semester to help an international student from China develop their conversational abilities in English and familiarize themselves with Canada. Through this experience I was lucky to gain an amazing friend named Vincy! We continue to practice Mandarin and English together to this day.
